BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING MINUTES
MARCH 8, 2004

Present were: Kathy Goss, Drew Mills, Larry Ochs, Lessa Eason, Barbara Coles, Norm Stewart, and Ken Shepherd.
  (All are voting members.)

Finances:  See handout from Treasurers. The deposit on the Belle of Louisville for Sept., 2004 has been paid.
We now have a balance of $7161.84

Church of Advent:  Norm talked to a professional floor refinisher who said that refinishing the floor would cost from $7500 to $10,500.
  It is obvious that neither we nor the Church could afford this. Ken suggested we try to clean the floor as see if that would help.
  A work party will work on it March 13th (and a lock will be put on the old restroom behind the stage to store our equipment.)
  The acoustics still present a challenge. Norm says we need someone who knows sound systems to advise and train people to run the
  system. He says we should think about paying someone, the best one trained, to do the sound on a regular basis. Only one person
  should do sound at a time.  It was suggested we get in touch with John Gage to get his recommendations. In April we will move our
  sound deadening carpet to the back wall and move the quilts from there to hang from the ceiling.

2004 Belle Dance:  MOTION: A motion was made that we advertise this weekend dance in the CDSS magazine.  It will cost $115 for
  1/4 page. MSP  It was decided that the prices will be $55 before August  30th and $65 after.  No lunch will be in the kids package this
  year. A la carte $18 for Saturday night. We hope to have the brochures ready by April 1.

Next meeting April 5 at 6 p.m. at St. Andrew’s.
