LOUISVILLE COUNTRY DANCE
BOARD OF DIRECTORS' MEETING
SEPTEMBER 8, 2003
The meeting was called to order at 5:30 P.M. at St. Andrew's Episcopal  Church. Persons's present included: Kathy Goss*, Drew Mills*, 
Ken Shepherd*,  Leesa Eason*, Beth Brocaw*, Barbara Coles*, Jack Still, and Larry Ochs. (* denotes voting member of board.)
Finances: Barbara Coles (Treasurer) presented a report in which she stated that we had $5000 in the bank. The Belle was paid for for the
forthcoming weekend except of $100 rental on the sound system. Yet due was St. Andrew's rent of $900 for the month ($400 for Monday
nights and $500 for the Belle weekend); $240 for Mark Cannon; $1800 for Ten Penny Bit (Belle Weekend); $750 for the second Belle Band,
Changeling; $300 for Kathy Anderson (Belle Weekend caller); $200 for Monday night callers in September; $150 for food and  
refreshments for the Belle Weekend and $80 for Belle lunches for the bands and callers.
Belle Weekend:  (120 registered full or part as of this time).
    a) Box lunches should stay within the $8 limit.
b) Fresh flowers for the tables will be provided by Lavitia for Saturday night.
    c) Norm Stewart is working on the Saturday day workshops.
Phone Bill:  We have cancelled our phone number and a final charge of  $16.15 will clear the account.
Records: LCD bill payments will all be made by check in the future so we can keep track of our expenditures in the check  register. Any
out of town bands or callers who request can cash their checks with us so they can have their cash right away but we will have their
endorsement for our records.
5)  Fund Raising:
    a)  Silent Auction - Jack Still is conducting this and it will be held Friday night and Saturday of the Belle weekend with the winners
being announced at break of dance on Saturday night.
    b)  Contra-dress sale will be conducted during the Belle weekend with  proceeds to benefit LCD.
    c)  Bumper Stickers - It was agreed that we have gone too long without bumper stickers. We may hold a  contest to come up with the
best slogan for some.
6)  Fall Dances:  All Saturday dances will be held at Church of the Advent.
    a)  October --- Steve Benett and a Lexington band.
    b)  November --- Contrarians from W. Va. Caller yet to be announced.
    c) December 15 --- Laurie Fisher will be in town.
    d) Special X-mas Dance --- Rowdy Routes ?  Patti Kannapel and Morris Dancers or Mummers?  $10 admission.
7)  Barb Coles asked that Norm Stewart be made a Co-Treasurer to help her in the Treasurer Job. He has agreed and was voted such by
unanimity. His name is to be added to our checking account so he can sign checks as well.
Next meeting to be at 6 P.M.  October 6, 2003 at St. Andrew's.
