LOUISVILLE COUNTRY DANCE
BOARD MEETING MINUTES
NOVEMBER 3, 2003
Those present included: Kathy Goss*, David Lazar, Leesa Eason*, Barbara Coles*, Norm Stewart*, Ken Shepherd*, Drew Mills*,
Dwayne Johnson, and Larry Ochs*. (* indicates voting member of the Board)
Minutes from last meeting were reviewed and revised to reflect the "Letter of Understanding" with David Lazar concerning the two
upcoming Dance events to be held at his Dance Barn.
Motion that the Minutes and the Letter be accepted was proposed by Norm, seconded by Ken and passed without descent.
Finances. Some inaccuracies in the last treasurer's report were noted and a revised report showing a greater amount of money on hand
was accepted. October Monday dances showed the following amounts of income: 10/6 $51; 10/13 $11; 10/20 $32; 10/27 $58. The October
Saturday dance (10/18) showed a loss of $52.
Membership Dues: Norm mad a motion to keep the dues for 2004 at the same level ($18 single, $30 families) and Drew seconded. All were
in favor. It was decided to use the same form as this year for applictions for membership but that accounting for these forms should
be better so that information could be more accurate and available.
Monday night callers: Leesa reported that she still needed to fill a couple of slots in November.
Publicity: It was decided that flyers should go out by the end of the year with the first six months of dances listed for 2004.
April 2004 Saturday dance: David Lazar is proposing to hold a third Saturday dance at the Flying Fish Dance Barn. Discussion of this
matter will take place at the December Board meeting.
May 2004 Saturday dance: Jackie Greene wants to hold a wedding dance and wants to get St. Andrew's Collins Hall as a venue.
Discussion of this matter will take place at the December Board meeting.
Since there seemed to be many matters which need further discussion this month,
it was decided that a special Board meeting will be held November 17, 2003 at St. Andrew's at 6 p.m.
