Decorations for Christmas Dance. We need volunteers to decorate the dining tables in the basement for the pot-luck dinner. We need
to inventory the supplies we have and get more as needed. Motion: The motion was made to set aside $50 for decorations for the
Christmas dance. (Motion made by Ken, seconded by Beth, passed unanimously.)
Finances: Basically no change since last report. We have about $6000 in the bank with all regular bills paid. Profits (losses) from some
November dances: 11/3- $7; 11/10- (-$14); 11/15- $31; 11/17- $114 (?).
Spring Dances:
     a. April 17 Saturday night. Motion: Drop Church of the Advent as site for this dance as it conflicts with Thunder Over Louisville
which often causes problems in transportation. (Drew made motion, Ken seconded, passed with vote of five to two.)
Motion: Move Dance to David Lazar's Flying Fish Palace. (Drew made motion, Ken seconded, passed with vote of four to three)
Will Mentor will call this dance with the Jim Nelson band playing.
     b. May 15 Saturday night. Dance will be held at Church of the Advent again.
     c. Potato Run. May 7, 8, & 9, 2004. Motion: The motion was made to fully support this dance with venue at Wyandott Woods Park.
(Beth made motion, Drew seconded, passed unanimously) Caller Susan Moffett, band Contrarians.)
We will have to get about 45 persons to pay for weekend to break even. Leesa will help Clint & Kathy to organize.
Belle Dance 2004: Motion: The Motion was made to once again do the Belle Dance Sept. 17, 18, 19, 2004 with the fund raisers of yard
sale and silent auction which made this year's successful. (Motion made by Ken, all unaniomous)
We will immediately begin getting band and caller so we can start publicity early.
Publicity: The schedule for the next six months of dances is pretty well set. We will have a flyer printed as soon as possible so we can
get our advertising started in a timely fashion.
NOTE: Norm Stewart called during the meeting. He was unable to attend for reasons of health. He is actively lining up the materials to
make sound baffles for the room at Church of the Advent. This is being done with the Church's full approval. A group of dancers has
also cleaned the hall in a three hour session and all are pleased with the results. Norm also said that he is in favor of having the Potato
Run Dance, the Belle Dance and the dance in April at David Lazar's.
Next meeting January 5, 2004 at St. Andrew's at 6 p.m.
These minutes were kept by Ken Shepherd, Board Secretary.
